Da Nang, The Balance

Da Nang, The Balance
Da Nang - Motorbike Life

People call Da Nang one of the "Big Three" for digital nomads in Asia — alongside Chiang Mai and Bali. It’s the balance point. Not too quiet, not too loud.

Walking vs. Riding

I tried to City Walk here. It’s a struggle. Sidewalks are for parking, not people. You end up walking on the road, dodging wheels.

Like everywhere in Vietnam, the motorbike is king. To flow with the city, you have to ride. Don't fight it. Just book a Grab bike and go.

The Escape

But the beach makes up for it. My Khe Beach is huge, clean, and open. It’s the city’s release valve. When the noise gets too much, just head east to the ocean.

Simple Food

The food is simple and unbeatable. You don’t need a menu. Pho for breakfast, warm and deep. Banh Mi (crispy baguettes) for lunch, right from a street cart. Cheap, fast, and better than any restaurant.

Da Nang isn’t perfect. But with good coffee, fast internet, and the ocean, it’s easy to get stuck here.
