Hi, I’m Nick.
A digital nomad, a city drifter, a multi-hyphenate wanderer.
Sometimes I work alone, sometimes I walk all day without a plan.
Mostly, I observe, write, photograph, and connect dots.
I have a background in tech, media, and product.
Over the past 10+ years, I’ve led product and technology work at The New York Times and Financial Times, focusing on digital transformation and new media innovation.
Earlier in my career, I was part of the early internet wave in China, working at NetEase, Yahoo!, and Alibaba.
I also work with GILT strategies — helping global teams adapt their content, systems, and products for local markets.
And I enjoy using IT architecture, automation, and AI to support digital transformation, especially across borders.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography, hand-brewed coffee, and ultimate frisbee.
I love walking cities without maps, noticing things that don’t show up in travel guides.
Right now, I’m on a 183-day international nomad journey — exploring different cities around the world.
I’m paying attention to local life, housing, costs, coffee, Wi-Fi, and culture.

你好，我是 Nick。
一個數位遊牧者，一位斜槓旅人，一個城市漫遊者，也是一位獨自行走的觀察者。
有時獨處工作，有時隨意遊走，大多數時候，我在觀察、書寫、拍照，連接點與點之間的意義。
我擁有技術、媒體與產品管理背景。
過去十多年，我曾在《紐約時報》《金融時報》擔任中國區的產品/技術/新媒體負責人，專注於數位轉型與新媒體創新。
更早時期，我參與了中國互聯網的早期發展，工作經歷包括網易、雅虎與阿里巴巴。
我也曾參與多家企業的 GILT（全球化、國際化、本地化、翻譯）策略，協助內容與系統落地不同市場。
並長期關注如何透過 IT 架構、自動化與 AI，協助企業實現數位轉型與跨國成長。
工作之外，我喜歡攝影、手沖咖啡，也曾是中國最早一批極限飛盤玩家之一。
我喜歡不看地圖亂走城市，也特別留意那些不會出現在旅遊書裡的細節。
目前，我正在進行一個「183 天國際數字遊民計劃」，走訪不同城市，體驗當地的生活方式、文化、人情、市場價格、租房條件與上網便利性等等。
這個 Blog 會記錄我旅途中的見聞與觀察，也希望對那些關心城市旅居與遠端生活方式的人有所參考。
